What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) that is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. Chiropractors are known for helping aid the proper alignment of the body’s musculoskeletal structures. Hands-on adjustments help to restore and relieve pain from a variety of conditions, including repetitive stress, sports injury and traumatic events.

Meet Dr. Jane Peterson

Dr. Jane Peterson ChiropractorDr. Jane Peterson was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was first introduced to chiropractic after suffering from a low back injury while playing NCAA Division 1 volleyball in Mississippi. The team’s chiropractor was able to effectively treat Dr. Jane’s low back pain, allowing her to play pain-free. This experience led to her interest in becoming a chiropractor with the goal of helping others. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Jane continued her studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences where she attained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree with honours. Upon graduating she has been providing chiropractic care at a family wellness practice in both Winnipeg and Vancouver treating a wide range of patients including people of all ages from newborns to adolescents to adults, as well as athletes and pregnant women.
