Meet Marla Waal

Marla Waal Pilates Thuja Wellness

Marla began life as a professional dancer in 1990 after graduating from the Professional Ballet School of Les Grands Ballets Canadians. She joined Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal and was fortunate to travel the world performing in over 18 different countries. In 1994, she moved to the USA to join Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, finally returning to Canada in 1998.

Soon after returning to Canada Marla began to study and teach Yoga. Diving into many styles of yoga, from very gentle restorative to more athletic Ashtanga. After a few years of slowing down to have two children, Marla picked up her studies again. Studying and training in Dynamic Anatomy with Eric Franklin. Then training for several years in Pilates with Diane Miller at The Vancouver Pilates Centre. After discovering the ELDOA Method, Marla felt she had found an incredibly powerful tool to help people make big changes in their overall health. Marla is now one of only three Level 4 ELDOA Method Trainers in Vancouver.
